I miss the old weigh ins, too. Where you could feel the electricity in the air when the guys would face off because they legitimately disliked each other and you never knew if someone was going to throw a punch.

I just finished watching the final press conference for Mayweather/Maidana and **** me was it utterly predictable. It got me thinking about the old Floyd who, while a ****y little ****, was certainly far more entertaining with a microphone in front of his face than this new, supposedly mature, "post-prison" Floyd.

It almost seems like the **** was given a checklist of ****** phrases that he needs to say in every interview he ever does when he got out.





















His press conferences have become as boring as Wlad's fights.

Floyd now works for showtime, which is a subsidiary of CBS. CBS invested alot in trying to change his image. They let him do the pimp stuff on all access because thats cable.

whenever he does a presser he is mild and you can see he has a very difficult time remembering his lines and trying to control himself.

He's like a combination of Jameis Winston (see his "star struck" inetrview after playing the Yankees) and Sarah Palin-can't remember what to say so he says the same few things repeatedly even if they don't really apply to the topic.

no i hate fake people. what floyd was doing with his money/bad guy persona was fake and used to hype up a fight. if i want to see fake personas i'd watch WWE.

what i view as entertainment is what happens in the ring not outside of it.

I never found him very impressive in front of the mic, he used to be more vulgar but not like it was any better. He just never had that gift to be a really entertaining speaker, however he got the gift to annoy the **** out of people which he has made work overtime for him.
