Anybody else miss the old Mayweather?

I just finished watching the final press conference for Mayweather/Maidana and **** me was it utterly predictable. It got me thinking about the old Floyd who, while a ****y little ****, was certainly far more entertaining with a microphone in front of his face than this new, supposedly mature, "post-prison" Floyd.

It almost seems like the **** was given a checklist of ****** phrases that he needs to say in every interview he ever does when he got out.

At the end of the day...
    And like I said before...
    God don't make mistakes...
    What else can I say?
We had a tremendous training camp...
(Insert opponent here) is a hell of a fighter...
    I've been here before...
    I know what it takes...
    I'm truly, truly blessed...
    ...The sport of boxing...
His press conferences have become as boring as Wlad's fights.

        Bringer,

You know that cuint Kelly Swanson is the main reason why he talks like that now. She rehearses all his press conferences and stands on stage besides him in case he forgets.

Actually, I don't. I don't follow boxers outside of what they do in the ring, so who the **** is Kelly Swanson?

LOL are you messing with me bro? Ok if not Kelly Swanson is that ugly old white lady with glasses that you see always on stage with floyd. Shes like the number one publicist for Floyd, B-Hop, and most other Golden Boy fighters. Shes a real cuint tho. If you ever try to get Floyd to sign something or hit him up for an autograph she blocks you and is a total cuint about it

Nah, bro. I was dead serious. I don't pay attention to anybody at press conferences aside from the fighters and trainers. I mean, I'll listen to Schaefer babble on with his poorly pronounced English or Arum rant and rave about whatever pissed him off that day, but that's only to get to the comments from the fighters.

I'm not big on the idea of fighters having publicists. In the case of Floyd, I get it, because he's bigger than the sport, but B-Hop? **** outta here. Dude don't need a publicist - nobody outside of boxing even knows who he is.

I was trying to green k u but it wont let me right now. but yeah exactly what u said bro. Fighters should keep it 100 and speak their minds especially about opponents. Also yeah no one outside of the real hard core fans even knew B-Hop won or fought a few weeks ago lol.

he doesn't need to do the strategic sh**-talking anymore.. people are going to tune in regardless now, his past efforts have paid off..

he could sit there and give a church sermon dressed as a priest and ppl still tuning in regardless..
