LAS VEGAS --- Many have tried and none have succeeded in solving the "MayVinci Code," which is the latest nickname Floyd Mayweather has given himself.

Mayweather had a pair of fights against Jose Luis Castillo in 2002 and he might have come the closest, but both times Mayweather was awarded unanimous decision verdicts. Marcos Maidana's trainer Robert Garcia believes Castillo won the first fight against Mayweather.

Floyd lost the first one but he dominated the second fight. It's good Garcia is bringing it up. Castillo laid a good game plan for Maidana to follow. I don't think he can sustain that type of attack for 12 rds tho.

I haven't watched the first Castillo fight in a while but I remember giving Floyd the first five rounds, while the middle rounds were close and Castillo dominated the later rounds. I thought Floyd lost a close, competitive fight.

However Castillo couldn't repeat his success in the rematch.

When They Ask You To Watch A Fight On Mute, U Know They Lost

Bradley said the same thing about his first fight with Pacquiao. This Castillo issue is getting under Floyd's skin; he hates hearing that like he hates getting hit. He's never been a fighter, he's always been a marketer .

Thing is floyds changed. The marcos vs khan was solong ago hes a different fighter. Youll see that in the ring that style wont work.

Floyd won BOTH fights. All Castillo was doing was putting Floyd on the ropes and punching his shoulders and elbows, he was getting picked apart by laser-like counters. Just because people were not used to seeing him in a competitive fight doesn't mean he lost, give me a break. Same thing happened with Cotto, Floyd beat him easy but because his nose was bleeding they say it was a tough fight. No damn controversy, Floyd won BOTH fights. And Garcia is a damn fool if he's planning on using some imaginary ''blueprint'' from 2002 when Floyd is 20X better and sharper.

How can a ''marketer'' go 45-0 and suffer no punishment in the process ? oh let me guess he ''cherry picked'' everybody right. .

That's not true, HBO commentators are notorious for being cheerleaders and very unprofessional. Larry Merchant thinks if a fighter is not getting his brains beat out that he's ''boring'', what type of guy is that to have calling fights. They did the same to Floyd in the Baldomir fight, prior to round one it was "Baldomir is the toughest guy Floyd has faced" then after round twelve he was a bum and Floyd cherry picked him. The HBO crew have also ruined a lot of Hopkins' fights, they don't know how to appreciate the science of the sport.
