Until the ink is dry on paper, how can this hold up?

This is a gross exaggeration, but what if Stevenson goes to press tomorrow and simply says, I just don't want to fight Kov because my mom said it's not a good idea and she's my most trusted advisor. Does the good faith and fair dealing still hold? I guess my question to the board is at what point does good faith and fair dealing not meet the threshold of a binding contract?
In common law, which is what I believe is used in U.S even an oral agreement can be binding, it doesn't have to be black on white. You live with a a girl for over 5 years, you're technically husband and wife. She can sue you for half of what you have.

I agree with the lawsuit on all fronts except one and I believe it's the most important one. We have no communication from either Stevenson or Kovalev that they agree to the fight and a fight in my opinion cannot happen if the fighter doesn't agree to it. Kind of what happened with Rios vs Gamboa fight.

Hopefully this scumbag (and the shadowy puppet master Darth Haymon) finally get their comeuppance.
