Empire that's failing. 83 year old Bob needs to call it a day and let Todd & co take over. As for Kathy calling out Haymon.... We are talking about a mogul, ex-havard grad. You think he didn't have the best lawyers money can buy to look over every single detail before he signed up Adonis 'piece of s...' Stevenson??

I believe Duva's main intent with this is to keep Kovalev. Because Kovalev is no dummy, he sees he has no options at 175 on HBO and if he comes to the conclusion that Duva was incompetent during the Stevenson negotiations then she is a ghost in this sport again.Comment

Still not coming back to her, she might get some money as a settlement but it is not like Stevenson is going to comeback and fight for her again. If the fight is ordered I doubt she can win the bid against Haymon and Showtime anyway so it is a tough situation but it is part of business. Can't get upset with a fighter taking the best offer and most money.
lol this idiot have no clue what he's talking aboutComment

LOL that's true, Haymon is a Harvard Law grad. Something tells me he thought the situation out before acting on it.

Haymon has become so powerful in boxing it's easy to forget that he is just an advisor, not a manager or promoter. As Duva says, he doesn't have a licence to promote fights.
The role he was playing in this game seemed to change very quickly to the point where he wasn't just giving Stevenson advice, he was acting behind the scenes to create a situation where his advice could be followed. Could be he over-stepped the line in doing that.
He has lawyers for sure, good lawyers, and so do Show-time and GBP. But were all these lawyers working together on this? I very much doubt it. That's the kind of situation where mistakes are made, even by clever people.Last edited by kafkod; 05-01-2014, 04:11 AM.Comment

he's in violation of the Ali Act. He has upset a vast majority the promoters in boxing. you can't be riding dirty when people are looking for you to F up.
