If that's true, what a load of crap! How does Khan get as much guaranteed purse as the champ Maidana, while the other champ Collazo eats crumbs? Also this purse for Maidana reflects what Showtime is expecting this PPV to do numbers wise, which isn't much. They spent almost no money promoting this fight, no media tour, only time Floyd was doing interviews outside of fight week was when GBP had other fights happening.
Showtime is trying to control costs so they don't run into another Guerrero money pit like last year...

It's evident they're trying to contain their spending in this fight. They threw millions like drunken sailors in the Canelo fight, which is ironic considering Maidana is less popular than the Mexican kid.

They also used Khan to drive Maidana's purse down at an all time low. A deceitful move by the Greedy Team. Maidana had to grab the fight at all costs. Arum does it, too, but not this sharkish.
