He was sarcastic, but no one was attacking him during the interview. He over reacted and said it when no one was asking anything that is close to being a cowardly question, but he felt attacked and brought up that his a coward, so in that context, the guy is paranoid to deflect or diffuse what was coming he went all in and just said in a sarcastic way He is a coward so what?

He says those things even to stop the interviewee from asking more questions related to his ducking ways.

Example,' he goes and tell the reporters not to ask questions anymore about Pac coz he don't dance with Arum.'

What he does is put a lid on the topic that is about to be asked by the interviewers, and shuts them down by deliberately being sarcastic by saying I've said I'm a coward so move on to the next topic.

He knows if he doesn't do that, the sports writers will keep on attacking him with questions he can't answer. He was actually diffusing it by saying that he is a rich coward.

To me it's sarcastic, but partly he is feeling the reality of his ducking ways is creeping in on him. Boxing fans don't respect him, coz ducking ain't how a champ is defined, and he knows it. He can't keep on ducking the legions of interviewers who love the sports, even hecklers are everywhere. He did it on himself. He has to answer the Pac question if not it will go on and on.

So he embraces his ducking ways now.
