So, what was the difference between Haymon/GB vs Duncan/TR?

Duncan didn't spark the rift between Golden Boy and Top Rank like Haymon did? Duncan didn't spark the decision for HBO to kick off Haymon's snake-selling ways to Showtime? Did you really have to ask? The difference is night and day.

Schaeffer, Haymon and Showtime are trying to build a UFC type brand and model. Sign all the fighters (and they're signing A LOT), showcase them on one network, fighting each other, keeping the money in house to sign more fighters, pretend the competition doesn't exist, keep signing fighters.

And the fighters they're getting are BIG names.

The thing is, Schaefer needn't join Mayweather Promotions in order to do this. Wouldn't surprise me if Showtime/CBS offered him something.

I love how R.Schaefer calls out bob arum for calling Mayweather "Hitler" and say what do you think the NBA commish would do. First off if Silver was lets say the commish of boxing. I think Mayweather would be banned for life at this point. It seems R.Schaefer forget some famous Mayweather quotes "As soon as we come off vacation, we're going to cook that little yellow chump." -Mayweather, "Once I stomp that midget, I'll make that motherf***ER make me a sushi roll and cook me some rice." ,"We're going to cook that (bleeper) up with some cats and dogs." -Floyd Mayweather Jr. This is the man that very interested in buying The Los Angeles Clippers. I think that would be the very definition of irony if he were part of the group to buy the Clippers. At end of the day I think R.Schaefer knows that his relationship with Haymon and this potential new promotional Mayweather Promotions would hurt the Golden Boy Promotions banner greatly but in the same sense hurt his pocket book because of his stake company hence the dilemma.

schaefer might have built golden boy promotions from the ground up but he would have never been relevant if it weren't for dela hoya. it's actually easy to promote fights if you have the fighters oscar recruited, connections with the right network and the money dela hoya has raised. so who's the inconsiderate ungrateful [B]b[/]itch. schaefer would be a nobody if he tried promoting for other companies out there

Schaefer is in Floyd's pocket, this should have been known a while ago. They'll team up with Haymon and ODLH will do his thing with Arum and then there will be the cold war 2.0.

Schaefer and haymon have been planing there coupe of golden boy for a long time, and hoya was in the dark.

Why else would golden boy be giving all of haymons fighters dates on there cards when they don't even have a contract with golden boy? That makes zero sense for golden boy.

Golden boy and Showtime have been getting the shaft from haymon, he's completely taken over both companies and now that he has all the fighters they have no choice but to go along with it.
