I thought schaffer made an excellent point about Bob comparing floyd to Hitler. How was this allowed to go unaddressed by the boxing and sports media?Its sad that these 2 are at odds. They built a very formidable promotional company that was very profitable. ODH made some personal mistakes and SChaffer kept the company going in his absence. He deserves credit for that.

Hopefully they can work things out.

I said that Richard was not innocent either, but usually when Schaffer or Oscar talked about Arum it was in retaliation to what Arum said about them.

When Arum was on top he was ruthless. Again you should read about what he use to say about promoters like Goosen and Shaw. It was Arum who first started making fighters leave GBP in order to sign with Top Rank for the Pacquiao fight, because Arum refused first to work with GBP.

The only reason you're in here defending Arum is because one of your favorite fighters Pacquiao fights for him.

But I bet the second Pacquiao leaves Arum, your position on Arum will flip. Similar to how all Pacquiao fan's position on OST switched.

how did rich "schemed" to move fighters to haymon????? What a silly post. Fighters want to sign with al because his fighters get lucrative matches and deals. Fighters are lined up to sign with haymon. They are not tricked or forced to sign up to get matches. You call floyd the dummy but he is the highest paid athlete 2 yrs running and will be 3 soon. You can only wish to be this dumb. Other fighters are begging for advances and getting high interest loans from their promoter. Fighters see haymon takes care of his stable and want to be with his crew. Not one fighter complained that haymon did not pay them right. And how is rich and al snakes??? Arum forces his men to sign extensions if they want to get fights. Thats a real snake.

They should split the business in two.

Schaeffer gets the fighters and sets up mega fights with Top Rank.

De La Hoya gets some pocket money for blow, hookers and pink panties.

schaeffer has already made it clear that he never wants to work with top rank again.

all these fucking corrupt ass promoters should be barred from the the sport, replaced with one major company which takes care of all the fighters so no one can claim anyone is ducking or cold war, or whichever other bs they try and feed the public.

The guys are what is ruining the sport, they're making money off feeding the fans shit they don't want to see.

Im pretty split on this whole thing.

On one hand, I feel bad for Oscar. For someone who had to fight for the money and prestige, it must suck to have sneaky MFs always trying to hustle you out of your bread. On the other hand, Oscar wouldnt be where he is without Richard Schaefer.

TBH, I think Oscar should just sit back and collect checks. Let them use his name and sit it out. He was a fighter, not a promoter or banker or money whizz. I think he should just stay in his lane and let the market correct itself.

I think Oscar has allowed himself to be set up. He owns GBP, but somehow, it's Al Haymon who holds many of the fighter's contracts who fight on GBP cards. It sounds like Haymon and Schaefer used Oscar and GBP's name recognition to build their position. In light of Oscar's personal problems and difference of opinion with Schaefer, it's easy to see that Richard and Al have an exit strategy. If that happens, we can count on a plethora of **** fights, because it seems these two are more interested in making money than putting together the best fights. But maybe the fans will realize that they are being had, demand the best and stop paying for **** fights?
