Don't forget my brother it wasn't just black people spearheading the civil right movement. There were a lot of latinos, blacks, whites, asians, and even ***s who got their head bashed in so that everyone could be treated equally.
Very well said. Good on that post b4 this one too man

If this is true is a business option most likely. But as far as sitting next to the POS Sterling, I'll spit in his face first then sit behind him so I can keep my nine on his zza.....

For anyone thinking of remotely investing in buying that team you would literally have to consider it a long term investment because you ain't recouping that money anytime soon. There is no guarantee the players stick around either so in actuality you could pay $575 million for a team that may be worth just north of $450 million a year later. That team will be sold to one sole billionaire, because they don't want too many chefs in the same kitchen especially while trying to restore the confidence of it's fanbase. If it goes to a team of investors it'll have to be spearheaded by an icon of the sport to put a good face on it so my money is on Magic Johnson.
That's a pretty good explanation. You won't see someone outright buy this team at this point because one would have to factor in future cashflows at present value - which is substantially larger. I don't pretend to know Floyd's finances; however if he's looking to secure a large percentage of the pie, it would mean he'd have to have more "skin in the game" to get a decent return for the long haul. At the end of the day, a forced sell-out would ultimately mean Sterling would be one rich bigot.

        Irony.

This could be the perfect way to Bring Oscar and Schaffer back on the same page. Get Golden Boy/Mayweather /Al Haymon all involved in purchasing the Clippers.

It's fair to say "I don't like certain people", that's a personal choice but that transcends into people's professional careers. There are racists who will overlook color of skin if you are going to bring them more money than their peer would. There are many more who won't overlook it and therein lays the issue. You yourself said "I tip black waiters/waitresses better" but not "others because I f**ks with my own". Now your own indiscretion towards other people is hurting them where it shouldn't. If someone gave you good service they didn't do it because of their skin color they did it because they are good at a job and should be rewarded as such. Now if that same person treated you like a second class citizen then don't tip you have that right but if that's not the case why create an uneven level of appreciation?
I think you're taking my opinion a lil too deep. When I talk about tipping, I'm saying I give a white waitress $3 as opposed to the $5 I'd give a black waitress on my lunch break. Or giving a black bum a buck as opposed to not giving a white bum anything. We're not talking anything life altering. It's not like I'm the CEO of a fortune 500 company refusing to employ non-blacks.

....any new ownership group will be vetted thoroughly

Of course Silver wants more colored people involved in ownership. Having a wifebeater even as a minority owner isnt gonna fly, even though he's black.

Mayweather's track record raises red flags and he would not be considered.

So how would you feel if a white person did what you do.
Tip a white waiter more than what he would tip a black waiter on the basis of their skin color?
Funny how you don't see the racist position you take, only the ones taken against you.

Rumors are that Oprah is interested as well, she could buy the Clippers outright and still be able to give season ticket holders a free car every year..
