Good for Chavez. He's saying the right things and fans should get behind him. That said, I don't understand why everyone's calling Pacquiao dumb for not doing the same. Newsflash guys: Pacquiao is the only one getting paid top dollar over there. No reason for him to leave. He doesn't have the same issues those other guys have and even though some act as if he would make more elsewhere, it's debatable and not even worth it. Chavez is in a different boat and he's doing what's best for him.

Chavez J, as shown here and in the Martinez fight, won't let people tell him what to do. He wants to fight Golovkin and if Haymon says no, Jr won't roll over for it.

This is what I can't stand from elite boxers... Chavez Jr. is making the cheddar that a whole lot of boxers could only dream of and he's saying no contract blah blah. What ever happened to the good ole days when fighters fought and shut their mouths??? GGG is a great fight and little Junior needs to man up and fight and give the fans what they want seeing as how they are the ones who pay his damn salary...

Chavez is making the cheddar because he has earned it. He moves fans, and draws ratings.
Like I said in my previous post, I don't mind Arum wanting to sign fighters to long extensions because usually promoters invest a lot of money in fighters and often lose a lot of money in the first couple of fights. They usually make up their loses at the tail end of the contract.
But with Chavez Jr. Arum has never lost any money. Chavez has always been sure financial gain for Arum.
Chavez here owes Arum nothing, and has every right to look for better options.
