I know that the truth is a touchy subject with you Floyd fans, right?

You guys are calling Arum all these names such as "Scum", "Evil", ..... but then when we remind you that Arum is a promoter and his job is to do things such as that to get fighters.... you guys get all emotional . I don't like it either but that is part of his business. GB does the same. Are they scum too?

Floyd is an opponent yet he is asking Manny to leave TR or no fight. Is Floyd scum? Do you hate Floyd?

Bob Arum probably reserves to right to choose which opponent he will promote.

JR can't really fight anyone without Arum's approval either while under contract. Best case scenario would be TR/HBO putting up more money for Chavez or else he'll just let K2 promote the fight

            • Arum did the same thing to Bradley, but in Bradley's case, I was okay with it. Bradley made a great decision for himself, but not great for boxing and the fans. Oh well, that's life. Bradley knows that he doesn't have a household name, doesn't put asses in the seats, and doesn't have the "IT" factor to promote himself like Floyd, so he knew his value, and was totally okay to extended his contract and made another $5+ million dollars against Pacquiao. JCC Jr isn't a better fighter than Bradley, but he knows he has a household name, he knows he puts asses in the seats, he knows he can make more money without Arum, and more importantly he can still fight GGG without Arum involved.

What Arum is doing is very shady, but there is a reason why boxing is the most corrupt sport in the world. Who the hell will try to stop him from screwing over fighters? It's up to the fighters to protect themselves at all times[no pun intended].

Floyd hasn't said "leave Arum." Floyd just isn't working with Arum. Arum could easily take a step aside fee and the fight would proceed. But he won't do that because they don't want the fight. They would rather play games in the media, convince dip****s like you that they want the fight more than anything, and Floyd is the one holding things up. And it's worked for a long time. But from the looks of Pac's recent PPV numbers, dumbasses like you appear to bewwising up to Arum and Pac's bull****.

                • If I was Chavez, I'd sit the fight out and then sue Bob Arum afterwards. I'm pretty sure that a contract cannot inhibit someone's ability to do their work, so a strong precedent needs to be set in order to deter promoters from holding their fighters for ransom.

Floyd also has a promo company. But arum does it to mannys opponents and it's ok right. But no need to make this a Floyd thread

From a business standpoint, to me Arum signing Bradley to an extension didn't make sense. I think Arum bought into what appears to be fool's gold in the Bradley-JMM PPV numbers. I think he is genuinely shocked that Timmy's rematch with Manny flopped, and so am I.
