Floyd Vs. Thurman? why?

can someone explain why thurman is a more valid opponent to floyd that maidana?? i keep reading people saying that floyd is taking on maidana instead of a real challenge like keith, i just don't get it, the guy's been looking terrific and KOing dudes left and right, but who were they? how is more valid to fight thurman at this stage of his career than a current world champion? and the other options are across the street and we all know they will not happen any time soon.

No one who knows boxing wants that fight right now, I am tired of casuals and trolls asking for ridiculous matchups and acting like Floyd should be calling people out when as the challenger and p4p king you get challenged and have already proven yourself.

Also, Maidana stops Thurman and derails his career.
