Comments Thread For: WBA: Ryabinsky Was Right To Cancel Jones-Lebedev II

BoxingScene.com has obtained a letter dated April 28th from legal firm Smith Alling, who are based in Tacama, Washington. The letter, written by attorney Michael E. McAleenan, was issued out to the involved parties of last Friday's Denis Lebedev vs. Guillermo Jones promotion at the Dynamo Palace of Sports in Krylatskoye, Moscow, Russia. Smith Alling represents the interests of the World Boxing Association [WBA].

Bbbuuut the Russians were scared their boy would lose (the fight they signed up for) so they rigged the drug test to escape and duck the guy from the same country as the WBA president!

King told Jones, "that's alright, already had a talk with the WBA and you can stay Champion in Recess until 2016".

Of course it was the correct decision and anyone who thinks differently doesn't have the best interests of the sport in mind.

        Imagine this:

"Boxer killed after opponent had failed a pre-fight drug test."

It'd be devastating for the sport.

So the doping test was authorised by the WBA.
There was a B sample taken.
Jones testing positive meant that the WBA wouldn't have sanctioned the fight even if it had gone ahead.
And Don King was lying through his teeth.
          What a surprise.

I see the Jones supporters/Russia haters are ducking this thread.
