LOL at people who wanted him to fight someone unproven like Thurman who's best win was against Soto Karass who Maidana also beat/stopped.

Maidana is proven two division champ, who has only been outclassed in one. In the current landscape of boxing (cold war) who was the better opponent at 147?

IMO Chino has a better shot at beating Floyd than JMM did (he was a joke at 157 when they fought), Ortiz (Mentally weak), and Guerrero who had done nothing above 135 and didn't even have a punchers chance. So can people drop the agendas for one god damn second and realize that Floyd didn't really have anyone better to fight at 147.

He's going to make it dirty. He'll try to attack Floyd the way he did AB.

Mayweather continuing to brainwash the brain-dead. When Manny runs over a fighter, OH he's on something! Can't do it, here's my next excuse! When Maidana runs over a fighter, OH I haven't been hit by Maidana, so I can't really say? We'll just have to see? LMAO! Keep being brain-dead you brain-dead Floyd fans! Your idol keeps exposing himself. HILARIOUS. Go pay your $75 to watch this farce with "stacked" undercard!

Maidana is a good fighter and hits hard and beat a guy in Broner who was bloated up 2 divsions. It seems like it is quite easy to satisfy the criteria to qualify to fight Floyd when it suits Floyd.

Floyd is supposed to be the best fighter in the sport but he doesn't actually prove it by doing things other people don't do. Ortiz, Guerrero, Maidana?

I means Canelo would have been a very good win if it weren't for the request of a CW.

“Well, it’s obvious he punches extremely hard,” Mayweather said recently while promoting their welterweight title fight at MGM Grand in Las Vegas. “He has an 80-percent knockout ratio. It’s obvious that’s his best attribute. But, you know, a lot of times when a guy’s swinging a lot of big shots and they’re not landing, you get fatigued like that.”

cant' say anything without being negative towards his opponent

“Well, I can’t really say,” Mayweather said. “I haven’t been hit by Maidana yet, so I can’t really say. I may be the hardest puncher he’s ever fought. He hasn’t been hit by me yet"

ask about Maidana's power, has to end it by talkin about his power

will cost $74.95 to watch in HD.

              boxing sucks ass

When Floyd was with Top Rank he was in Oscar's shadow, and wanted to face Oscar at his prime back then. Bob wasn't having it. Oscar was his rising star and cash cow, and risking him against Floyd didn't make good business sense to him. He knew having both Oscar and later Floyd as stars would bring in the dough.

Floyd wanted the big fights, Bob refused, so Floyd walked. Oscar left to do his own thing, Floyd pursued Oscar when Oscar was the Jr Welter champ at 154.

Oscar asked for ring size (smaller so Floyd doesn't have room to "run"), glove size, make, and model (to slow Floyd's hand speed down and make him pillow fisted), he over weighed Floyd by 10+lbs on fight night, was on a winning streak under Floyd Sr.'s tutelage, AND had Freddie Roach in his corner that night.

Oscar was the bigger man and had the bigger fan base.

History was made. Oscar lost and Floyd became the new cash cow.

Floyd went after Mosley and Cotto while in their primes and both had issues to deal with. Mosley had tooth problems. Cotto wasn't ready and relied on his promoter's decision regarding his next opponent.

Floyd later fought both Mosley (whom everyone was calling Floyd out to fight) and Cotto (154lb WBA Champ) when they were ranked.

It's not his fault they didn't want to face him back then. He did his thing and here he is today, the highest paid fighter in the sport.

What you and Floyd haters tip toe around is the fact that BEFORE Floyd fought Victor Ortiz and Guerrero, Cotto, Baldo, and Judah, and Gatti, and Hatton, and DLH, and, Mosely, Canelo you were all claiming they "would do this to Floyd and that to Floyd and Floyd was scared and he would get KO'd by so and so".

AFTER Floyd beats them with relative ease and lifts their title belts, it's "They were past prime, they were a cherry pick, yada, yada, blah, blah, blah...."

Floyd is still doing his thing and winning in record setting fights.
He beat them with ease.. cause they were easy! Don't forget to mention that there was enough hype for him vs margacheato.. but he chose Baldomir? gatti had just gotten his ass whooped by DLH.. so had the late great hernandez.. his reign at the lighter classes was truly awesome.. excitement.. still a little safe route but legit! Corrales was his best win, where even in Vegas he was the dog.. and he totally dismantled Diego.. props for that.. I think Castillo beat him (closely) in their 1st meeting but ever since then he's been too defensive for my liking.. picking on flat footed, no head movement, old, small, green "champions".. I mean you're really giving Mayweather credit for his WW resume? if so.. it's cool..

And for the record, promoters/managers are ruining the sport.. oh and TV networks.. if they all got along they'd make twice the money.. instead of recycling and avoiding..

That was a good win for Floyd because Cotto did some things that Floyd had never seen before. That was the best fight Cotto ever fought. He dominated the 8th round against Floyd. That has never happened before. Hats off to him for digging deep and getting the victory. Other than that win, he's been playing with the sport and fans for YEARS. And by the way, Manny's win over Bradley, was simply amazing!
That's a really low standard for domination since Mayweather landed some of his cleanest and hardest punches in the Cotto fight in that eighth round. Floyd beating Canelo was not impressive but Pacquiao against Bradley was amazing!? With or without the catchweight that doesn't really add up. And on top of it, Pacquiao is the pioneer of the catchweight. The catchweight was Canelo's team's idea and Canelo had a history of not making weight when it was a full 154 lb weight limit fight which he repeated in his next fight against Angulo. So the catchweight kind of kept him honest. And he came into the ring with a huge weight advantage at 165lbs to Mayweather's 150. Using the catchweight to negate Floyd's performance against Canelo as Pacquiao fan is quite hypocritical anyway. Cotto lost to Pacquiao fair and square also even if he was affected by the weight. The only part that makes it worse is that Pacquiao was unwilling to rematch Cotto at 154 when they tried to negotiate a second fight.

That is not correct, at all. He won't fight any live dogs, PERIOD. These fighters he's been fighting, are not as good as himself, and that's why he fights them. He's a bull****ter and us REAL fans know it. Then he gets mad when no one mentions him amongst the greats. He KNOWS why that is. He doesn't take risks. He doesn't fight fighters who have a chance to defeat him. He's insecure about his own talents and he's a control freak.
Everything you are saying is completely false. Top Rank and Bob Arum refuse to do business with Golden Boy and Floyd Mayweather. This is a documented fact. So claiming that Mayweather is avoiding anyone who is represented by Top Rank is automatically a complete falsehood. And slopping swinging Bradley definitely did not look like a threat with his 11 knockout record to me. Pacquiao missed so many shots against Bradley that I don't know how you think he could even touch Mayweather without getting countered to death. When you say real fan I think you mean to say extremely biased Manny Pacquiao fanatic. And Floyd gets mentioned with the greats and as one the best of all time all of the time.

I don't understand why the fans of JUNIOR are so ridicolous;THEY SAY FLOYD IS THE BEST EVER BUT AT THE SAME TIME THEY SAY MAIDANA,ORTIZ,GUERRERO,CANELO ARE COMPETITIVE FIGHTS (before the fight obviously);THEY ARE SO SCARED OF A LOSS THAT THE BEST FIGHTER EVER (only for them) SUDDENLY BECOMES BEATABLE BY FIGHTERS LIKE THOSE!!! THE MOST FEARFUL FANS IN BOXING!!!
There is no competitive fight for Mayweather because he is head and shoulders better than everyone even close to his weight division. And you biased Pacquiao fans prove it every time that you complain about none of his opponents being "threats". I mean duh... No one is a threat when you're better than everyone.
