In essence they wouldn't be looking at him at all. But I imagine they'd care about the negative baggage he'll be brining since his antics have been made public.

Again, as I've said in one of my earlier posts, no investment group in the right mind would want Floyd as a partner if they were serious about actually purchasing the Clippers. For one he wouldn't be a major investor and two his negative press about racism would be a huge turn off for the league who would be looking to uphold their imagine by ousting Sterling.

Nope. My responses after correcting your intial attempt to put a number on the Clipper's net worth was in response to your backhand comment about Floyd's history of racism not playing a significant role in his ability to be a part of a new ownership group. You seem to either have selective memory or just refuse to acknowledge what's in front of you.

I think it would be common sense to any person that if the NBA kicks Sterling to the curb that they'd vehemently refrain the approval of the franchise's sale to a new ownership group that has a public figure with a history of blatant racism. It would be like the NBA allowing Bill O'Reilly to be part of the new ownership group after Sterling.
Nope, you're talking about sole ownership, nobody made mention of sole ownership but you. In fact I talk about part ownership in another post following my original post.

You also brought up the NBA owners and how you think they only allow good people into the business. Completely irrelevant to my post.

I know you know you're wrong which is clearly why you must insist on bringing up the NBA owners and what you think they will or will not do. Let alone the new topic of "sole ownership".

The poster you initially quoted didn't specify whether it was sole or part ownership. However it doesn't take a genius to connect the dots that when he says "You'd have to be a billionaire to own an NBA franchise" that he obviously means sole ownership.

You mention part ownership after, but not before or during your original post. Sorry, but I can't read minds. Your first post in this thread is what I originally quoted which was your attempt to try and pin a value on the Clippers franchise, which was horrendously inaccurate.

I honestly don't understand why you keep saying it's "irrelevant to my post" when you clearly state "Also note, Floyd's "history" won't stop anyone from doing anything." Maybe you mean it's irrelevant to your original post? If that's the case then all your original post is a horrible attempt to try and pin a value on an NBA franchise which you could have avoided by utilizing google for a mere 10 seconds.

I also never said that the NBA would only allow good people into the business. Those are your words, not mine. I said they wouldn't allow a public figure whose had a history of racial tirades to be part of a new ownership group if they're forcing the current owner out due to racism. Makes sense right?

Your definition of wrong is incredibly skewed. I didn't try to pin a value on an NBA franchise from an article I read x number of days ago then say it was "accurate" when it clearly wasn't. I posted an actual accurate number with an actual source and yet I'm supposedly wrong... Honestly 10 seconds on google would have saved you a response questioning the legitimacy of your poor appraisal attempt of the Clippers franchise.

Then I try to reason that the NBA would not allow a racist to be part of a new ownership group if they oust the current own for being racist. Yet again, "I'm wrong." Go figure.

            Breaking News!!

Larry just offered Donald Sterling 200 Quadrillion e-points to purchase the clippers. Negotiations have currently stalled as both sides clear the legal hurdles.

We expect an announcement tomorrow morning.

              I don't know about this.

Floyd has always struck me a quite racist.

Nobody mentioned "sole ownership" but you. Me mentioning NBA owners was because you made an irrelevant comment that had absolutely nothing to do with my original post. Clearly. Show me in my original post that had anything to do with NBA owners.

They also mentioned on ESPN a few days ago that the team is worth around $700 million now. This is a moot point though since the NBA would never allow Floyd to be part of any new ownership group given his publicized history of racism.
What does my original post have to do with this? Also note how I cleared up an speculation on what was being discussed.

All I did was point out the team is not worth billions but millions. Floyd can very well buy a large portion of the team. All this nonsense about what the NBA owners will and will not do is moot. The team isn't worth billions and Floyd has the assets to buy a good size portion of the team and he's not a billionaire.

Floyd couldn't buy a large portion of anything. He's probably worth less 80M. He doesn't have any revenue outside of boxing, lives a luxorious lifestyle and doesn't like paying taxes.
