Joseph Parker's next opponent is Brian Minto, the veteran American who ended the career of fellow Kiwi heavyweight Shane Cameron.

The fight will be in Auckland on July 5, the next of three fights that Parker's promoters Duco Events have planned for the 22-year-old this year.

Duco Events moved quickly to announce the Minto bout, a day after Parker worked hard for a seventh-round TKO of Brazilian Marcelo Nascimento in Oberhausen, Germany.

Does Parker have no obligation to K2 ? I'd hoped he would be on Pulev v Wlad card.

Minto is going to get starched. I know he's no pushover but this kid can seriously hit with some force.

Should be a good test. A fight between Parker and ANdy Ruiz Jr. would be awesome.

The fight Will do a good sell,I'd like to have seen Parker progress a little more and maybe this could have made ppv in AUS.i suppose they can build up Leapai versus Parker instead now.

Kid is seriously talented.looks cool as ice and tough as old boots.gonna be a welcome addition to the next wave of heavies such as Hughie,Joshua and the likes of the slow building Usyk.

tough matchup for an 8 fight guy but I like it. kevin barry knows what minto brings so parker be ready. leapai is not very good & I think parker would beat him. minto vs leapai would be interesting...
