I really don't understand the Schaefer hate, he's run that company the entire time and he's been a consistent presence.

Within the industry, Oscar's been sort of a joke for the last few years. He's the face and namesake of the company, but it has grown beyond him. Sorry to say believe me, but if he's checking into rehab during fight weeks and constantly becoming entangled in embarrassing episodes, he's a liability.

I'm also afraid Arum is using him for leverage to resign Pacquiao. By publicizing their conversations and floating Canelo's name with Manny's, Arum could be trying to sell Manny on GBP fights being doable.

Well you see, everybody is using the marriage comparison,so my question is who really knows what goes behind close doors in a marriage,All i know Schaeffer could be an alcoholic, but what inside info DO YOU have that can tell you if its accurate or not..You can say whatever about de la hoya but hes no pushover and at end of day its his company and his name...I think this is a classic "I do all the work and he gets credit,I should make my own company"..If schaeffer thinks de la hoya will be lost without him I think he is mistaken.

RS leaves and Oscar will just bring in someone else with experience and pick up where Schaefer left off.
It's still Osacar company, he built it on his name and brought fighters in because they wanted to be associated with his brand.
The real problem is Al Haymon. He is buying all these boxers and getting them good money to fight stiffs on cable networks. He and RS will form their own company and then things will hit rock bottom watch.

Yeah, people acting like Richard is indispensable. There are many guys who are more than willing to CEO golden boy. Richard is made because Oscar wants to work with Arum and HBO, that is why this internal beef stems from.

Richard and Haymon will have a difficult time with the bridges they burned, with HBO, and with Arum and other promoters. They will eventually have to try and kiss and make up again like Richard did when Floyd retired to Arum, he kissed Arums ass when Pacquiao dispute was settled and he needed to make the match ups with Arums stars.

Once Floyd retires is the true test to see if they can succeed but historically HBO has higher boxing ratings than Showtime, showtime ratings are mainly high for Floyd fights.

IMO,Showtime has been kicking HBO butt lately with the double/triple headers they have been putting on. If the Cold War ends we will see fantastic cards on both networks I assume with them alternating cards back and forth but. GB and. Tr co-promoting on both networks.
Once Manny and Floyd go away it's basically all Canelo and Maybe GGG for PPV dollars. Nobody has the marketability of Floyd or Manny out there except those 2.

We'll said. I feel the same Shafer is all up Floyd's ass along with Haymon. No wonder GBP fighters have short contracts so they can jump ship thanks to Shafer the snake.
