Proof Showtime Will Sacrifice Mayweather To Pacquiao

    Link:

I saw a very surprising clue which indicates Showtime Network will sacrifice Floyd Mayweather to finally fight Manny Pacquiao if the sparring session on May 3rd bombs financially.

The clue was part of a Showtime All Access episode, when Mayweather went to Fatburger's in Las Vegas for a meal. Mayweather, protected by numerous bodyguards, was confronted by Pacquiao fans who mocked and taunted him in public for ducking and dodging Manny Pacquiao. Some of the video even showed fans chanting "Pacquiao, Pacquiao", and saying Mayweather "won't fight Pacquiao, he's scared."

Mayweather put a brave face on to conceal his shame, but the public criticism and disrespect had to embarrass him deeply. Later in the episode Mayweather also confessed that he can't go anywhere in public without security protection. Mayweather also admitted that he's constantly fighting with fans and media. The pressure on poor Floyd must be massive.

But the overall message conveyed was a stunning one.

For Showtime to broadcast Mayweather being taunted and mocked in public is very, very telling, and an indicator that times are changing. Keep in mind that Showtime producer Ross Greenberg could have easily edited this segment out off the video but the fact that he did not proves that Showtime is no longer protecting the image of Mayweather.

It's a well known fact that Mayweather's drawing power is on the decline now, despite Richard Schaefer's best attempts to hide Mayweather's true pay per view numbers. It's a well known fact that the Mayweather-Guerrero sparring session lost mega millions and the Mayweather-Alvarez sparring session was only a success because of the extraordinary popularity of Canelo.

Showtime executives are deeply concerned that Mayweather-Maidana is going to be a brutal failure. Boxing fans around the world are calling for a global boycott of May 3rd. Even rival promoter Bob Arum, who eagerly wants to match his superstar Manny Pacquiao against Mayweather, has called on boxing fans and media to boycott May 3rd.

If the "Floydcott" is successful on May 3rd, and more mega millions of dollars are lost because of Floyd Mayweather's fading drawing power, fading skills and fading act, you can be pretty sure Showtime is going to finally sacrifice the greatest coward duck in sports history to put up and shut up and take on Manny Pacquiao in what will be the biggest money event in boxing history.

    Mark my words.

I think it was setup by Floyd. Not saying that incident was staged. I'm sure it wasn't. But I think he has the power to show certain things in the episodes. It was a shot at the Pacquiao fans, and his haters.

He's trying to say, "I don't care what you guys say, I'm not phased." In reality he is phased, because he's talking about his legacy all of a sudden, like Maidana's his Tommy Hearns.

And after Floyd beats Manny it's going to be...

"Despite the taunts by fans that Floyd was afraid to face Manny Pacquiao in a ring, we can all surmise that Manny wasn't really the same fighter who would've given Floyd trouble before Juan Manuel Marquez knocked him the hell out..."

                .
