Either Schaeffer and company have lost all faith in Broner or they are just talking bullshhhh...Either way i'll put up all my points on Lucas if that fight gets made.. put that on ppv at like $40 and i'm in.

I would love to see this fight happen! I still think Broner is the real deal, but is power is not traveling to 147 for at least 3-4 years. He's a young man, and has time to grow. Lucas would be a great challenge at 140.

Please make this fight, PLEASE!!!!! It would be the end of Broner's career though (sad for all of his hardcore fans) but it would be great seeing the trash talk from him leading up to the fight and then him being crumpled up in the corner by round 2. GBP would be best served keeping Broner FAR, FAR away from the Machine.

Shaeffers officially a moron. Broner vs Matthysse is exactly same as Broner vs Maidana. So unless he's trying to quickly cash out on Broner he needs to steer clear of the heavy hitters for the next couple fights.

You have to understand Shaffer is just blowing smoke here. He's just saying what the fans want to hear. He has no intention of making Broner-Matthyse especially after seeing what Maidana did to Broner neither do Haymon knowing he wants to keep Broner relevant with Floyd's career winding down. Heck he won't even make Broner-John Molina and after seeing Molina against Mattyhse last night, you can understand why they picked the softer Molina. They would keep Broner away from punchers for as long as possible.

This would be a very bad style match up for Broner. For one, Lucas won't have any trouble finding him because he is easy to hit and doesn't like to move his feet. Also, as was in the case in the Maidana fight; Adrien would lack the size and power to seriously threaten Matthysse, from swarming him with his power punching. There are just too many holes in Broner's defense, in order for him to be successful in this fight.

Actually Broner is bigger than Lucas. However his power sure isn't. And he'd get bopped for sure.
