Cotto versus Malignaggi... SERIOUSLY

I'm going to pick the upset and say Malignaggi wins this by decision. LOL... I'm going out on a limb, but I just see this as a lopsided win.

This matchup just has upset written all over it. The hungry fighter trying to prove himself versus a fighter many have called over-rated/hyped fighting cupcakes as of late.

Cotto is prone to be upset anyways. He's fighting cupcakes now. Also, people shouldn't over-rated Cotto in terms of aggression. He isn't the most aggressive fighter. In fact, for his power he's very gunshy (IMO).

The fight is taking place June 10th too.

(PS: Don't get me wrong, I'm still a fan of Cotto.)

if the fight's 12 rounds malignaggi will run into stamina problems because he wont be able to smother cotto against the ropes and get a free breather. plus cotto's best feature, hard shots downstairs, is exactly what takes away from the game plan of malignaggi.

Cotto cuts off the ring better than anyone, has heavy hands, and can be extremely technical.

He's by no means a 1 dimmensional fighter. He is highly diverse....and will stalk, out-manuever, and land huge bombs on Paulie.

He's a hell of a fighter...and I really can't say the same about malignaggi. He has not been tested against remotely decent opposition.

Nah. Malignaggi will be took slick for him. And I just see Cotto chasing him and missing. Malignaggi knows this is do or die and I think he comes in WAY prepared for anything Cotto has to offer. This is Paulie's moment of truth. The moment he's been talking about for YEARS. To Cotto, this is just another fight.

I'm pretty confident in picking Malignaggi and have to reservations in doing so.
