And yet he gets all the credit for picking Maidana?

I guess they didn't apply then

This guy could be a serious problem at 140...his height is a huge advantage. If he learns to use that right hand more effectively and develops a jab to set it up he's got a future. I think he seriously needs a new trainer who will focus on his strengths and improve his weaknesses to the point they aren't a liability.

That's a even fight IMO. Since Demarco beat Molina he took an awful beating from Broner and has fought two journeymen. Molina on the other hand has fought Williams, Klimov, Bey, and Matthysse in that same time frame and Broner didn't want a fight with him either. It's a great fight too bad it won't get made now that Demarco is with top rank.

Yes, I commend John Molina on a very spirited effort against Lucas Matthysse. He displayed lots of character and will, coupled with a heart of a champion. While, I wish him all the best in his future career; I just pray and hope that he didn't sustain any permanent damage because of it.

I really like Molina but he was just a punching bag in there throwing a wild punch now and then. the knockdowns did not hurt lucas the second one was a joke and should have been a point deducted from Molina. lucas was hurt twice standing up. goosen is a POS for wanting to fight the doctor who woulda stopped the fight but goosen wanted Molina to go out and take another barrage and he is lucky as of now that he is not permantly damaged

Molina is as tough as they come, I've never seen him get stunned or buckeled aside from that fluke with Demarco until this fight, Mathysse pressure got to him landing some of the best power shots I've seen on him and yet he remained standing til the 11th round. The 140 pound division has a new threat!!!

However, I guess anyone with Molina's power can be dangerous at an elite level. And he seems like a genuine deserving person so I wish him the best.

He keeps fighting like that though, and he won't be boxing much longer...
It kills me when people like you say you weren't impressed. Same way people go around saying they weren't impressed by Lara in the Angulo fight. I fighter doesn't always have to be super skilled to be impressive. What he did last night is just as hard as anything else. Even in a losing effort.
