Comments Thread For: Keith Thurman: Shawn Porter is The Number One Option!

StubHub Center, Carson, California - WBA interim-welterweight champion Keith Thurman (23-0, 21KOs) barely broke a sweat during Saturday's third round stoppage of veteran Julio Diaz. After dropping Diaz in the second, Thurman landed a bodyshot in the third that badly injured Diaz's ribs. Because of the rib injury, Diaz was unable to come out for the fourth round. Would be very exciting but I wouldn't take it if I were either of these guys unless the were paying $1.5M a piece.

      Thurman-Brook/Porter winner later this year.

      Winner get's Floyd.

      Makes sense.

thats a good fight, porters mauling style will give keith problems though, his defence doesnt look too solid. but keith does have immense power. great fight

If they could find Thurman an opponent this summer I wouldn't mind a double header with Porter/Brook. Then the winners of those fights meet up later this year.

If Brook wins, he will not fight a pulse. Hearn will milk the title along with Sky for as long as possible.

I agree, and I think it should be Roberto "The Ghost" Guerrero. In fact, if Thurman would beat Guerrero, I think he should get a shot at Floyd, and skip Porter.

Likely, but I very much doubt Brook wins.
