Comments Thread For: Glazkov: Alexander Povetkin Is Going to Fight Charr

IBF #2 heavyweight contender Vyacheslav Glazkov (17-0-1, 11 KOs) added some details to his rumored fight against former WBA heavyweight champion Alexander Povetkin, while discussing a coming match-up between Wladimir Klitschko and Alex Leapai at the Inter TV studio in Kiev, Ukraine. Glazkov was earlier reported to be in negotiations with Team Povetkin for a collision in early June; however, this buzz was dismissed by Povetkin's promoter Andrey Ryabinskiy.

Solid match up.if Sascha doesn't come in shape Manuel will give him a hell of a night.will this be sanctioned by the WBC or another body ? The WBC I suspect,Povetkin must be targeting the easier title.

this will be a solid fight. very evenly matched. I have to go with povetkin as he has lots of experience & is a pretty solid fighter. charr isn't bad either but he is pretty generic & easy to hit. I got tickets to go see scott weiland on july 3rd. seen some of his videos of his solo tour... he is on the bottle for sure. every video I saw he was drunk as f**k.

Charr wins this, then captures the WBC crown.

          War Diamond Boy.

Does Povetkin even deserve to fight the defending and reigning and eternal WBC champion and current WBC Mediterranean silverware champion?

In short, no, but Povetkin's promoter probably paid Team Diamond Boy top $$$ to get a shot at the coveted WBC serving dish.

On a more serious note, this is a good match up. If Charr beats Povetkin he deserves a title shot. Heck, he should be ahead of Wilder in the WBC pecking order, anyway.

But Wilder beat....... why shouldn't he be rated #infinity?

I like Charr but the Povetkin from the Huck fight even would be way too much for him I think. Povetkin's going to brutalize him unless getting superhugged ruined him on other men completely.
