Hopkins Pavlik question

I won some nice £££ on this fight, and predicted on here that Bore Hard would Hopkinate Pavlik. I was slightly wrong, in that it wasn't a Hopkination, but was actually a fairly interesting fight.

I liked Moby, but when the target's moving, the only thing the poor **** can hit is the bottle.

i was wonderin watching the fight on you tube only been back into boxing few years but when hopkins fought pavlik what was the word on the street? did people think hopkins was to old? that he would win? anyone remember?

I remember Roach mentioned he didn't want to see Hopkins fight Pavlik. He was saying that he saw something that made him think Hopkins would get hurt bad.

Kelly was supposed to beat him and maybe knock him out. I didn't think he would come out so flat but it happened.

Hopkins deserves massive credit but Pavlik didn't look the same about 160 as he did fighting ay MW.

yeah hopkins was supposed to lose badly to pavlik since pavlik had beaten taylor - the man who beat hopkins - it was supposed to be almost an easy fight for pavlik because of hopkins age.. 95% of media picked pavlik.. that's why at the end of the fight hopkins is shouting over the ropes to those media guys who picked against him, he's basically telling them i told ya so...

Pavlik was on a roll and Hopkins was considered old but of course hindsight is 20/20.
Hopkins was nowhere near past it and Pavlik was pretty much past it because he'd turned into a hopeless drunk with chronic health issues.

I admit I thought Pavlik would destroy him at the time.

Pavlik is talking about making a big comeback soon... I don't buy it.

lol, don't change history fellas. Hopkins was only a 3-1 underdog.. I picked him to win. A lot of people did, Pavlik was the favourite though.

I agree but it was more than that. Kelly just didn't have the advantages he had at 160. Hopkins would have always beat him but it would have been more competitive had it been at 160.

I predicted a KO for Pavlik. I was so sure, been wrong before but that was really something else.
