If you look at Khan's loses you will see they are all to bigger taller guys Prescott,Peterson and Garcia. Khan's style was perfect for beating up on shorter smaller fighters where he had a height and reach advantage. At WW he will be fighting men his size and bigger where his style is not as effective, I just don't see him doing as well at WW as LWW. Collazo weighed in at 160 Lbs on fight night when he fought Ortiz,I am pretty sure Khan will look and be the smaller man in the ring. That is not a role he is used to or suits his style, his lack of infighting skills will show up more against bigger men.

Exactly my thought. His punch resistance did improve when he moved up from 135 to 140. Kotelnik hit him with some nice single shot counters, and he was uneffected. Maidana landed monster shots on him in the second half, and he was hurt but didn't go down. Maybe moving up will help this time, too.Comment

khan was a lot stronger at 140 when he first moved up but as time went by he outgrew that division too.. started becoming weight-drained at 140 like he had been at 135..
at 147 theres a good possibility khan shows the same sort of strength he did when he first moved upto 140 and if that happens its game over for the rest of the welterweight division.Comment

lol if porter took the risks against khan that he did against paulie then khan would have stopped porter in 2 rounds max. thats all it would have took. paulie just didnt have the power to hurt porter but he did land some good shots. khan would have finished that version of porter with ridiculous ease
That is an interesting thought...
Boxing is all about risk management, which is why Porter took calculated risks to land on Paulie.
He would do the same with Khan, except that Khan would go down quicker with his ridiculously weak chin.
Paulie went down after he ate a lot of big shots, it was cumulative.
With Khan you only need to land once, then his legs just go - he never recovers.Comment

he aint doing that.. he'd try to fight Khan like he fought Alexander.. by brawling on the inside and closing the distance. Peterson had some success doing that against Khan so Porter would try to imitate that game plan just like he imitated part of Bradley's game plan against Alexander..Comment

The point I am making is that Khan does not perform as well against bigger men and KHAN'S performance against Peterson was poor. The PED issue has no bearing on the point I am making. His style is perfect for fighting shorter smaller men but clearly is not as effective when fighting men his size or bigger.Comment
