Its the biggest fight that HBO could make right now for both of them, and would be a PPV caliber event with a decent undercard...

Ward obviously isnt going to be with Goosen much longer, but while they still together, Goosen should look to make the biggest fights with Ward. No sense in letting him fight a soft touch and then walking away and have someone else put together the big fights for ward..

Ward is in need of a big fight,, why wouldnt he fight Kovolev....

chavez jr, ggg, hopkins, adonis, froch are all busy at the moment or on different networks,,, Ward-kovolev would be a huge fight, and i dont see why Ward would turn it down,, the guy has Zero options in terms of big fights. And i doubt ward would be scared away by kovolev... Who wins, im not sure, but its def the biggest fight that HBO, Goosen and Ward could make, and im sure kovolev would be willing as well...

Ward's star power is too weak outside of Oakland to be a big PPV draw, and Kovalev is yet unproven at the top level. It would have to be a regular broadcast fight. Kovalev might love it, but would Ward?
