i like the idea of the fight for sure thurman is bigger then mayweather so why not, but obviously he should fight good fighter at 147 first and not make same mistake broner did moving up when there is fights at your comfortable weight

Woah woahh keith let's not get ahead of ourselves there buddy, we boxing fans like you and enjoy your fights but you got a little ways to go my brother. Thurman is a very brutal fighter but we've never seen him face adversity so we don't really really know how he'll handle that. He's got a real real legit chance of cementing a name at 147 if he is wise about it going forth, you start throwing Canelo out there and if there is any doubt in his promoters mind they may throw him to the wolves for a check faster than he wants to.

Keith YOLO Thurman saying this about Canelo when there's plenty of competition in his own weight class, where even Mayweather is at. Wouldn't be surprised if he was advised by Haymon's team to say that, given Hopkins is recently doing similar things.Last edited by McLeechin; 04-25-2014, 12:50 PM.

Thurman has not had his chin checked properly yet, when he does and if he can withstand it I can say the guy has potential, however if his punch resistance is crap then he is nothing but a dangerous gatekeeper for the future.

I also had Molina losing 6-4, and I had Martirosyan losing. Not many fighters can beat Lara. Also, losing to Lara does not mean he loses to Thurman, Cotto, Martinez. Losing to Lara means he lost to Lara and that's it, it doesn't indicate he loses to some other guy with some other style.
Now win or lose to Lara is he the real deal in terms of being a true Mexican warrior, yes. Not afraid to fight anybody, yes real deal..Somebody I would watch anytime as long as it's not ppv against the Angulos of boxing, yes real deal..GPB has held his hand waaay too much, gave him undeserved belts against overmatched guys, and claims that his only loss and weak performance against Floyd don't count cause Floyd's so good..He already earned my respect because of his heart, but the hype don't add up until he win's (or lose in good fashion) against a high level guy.

Would rather see Thurman face Matthysse, Broner, Maidana, Khan, Collazo, and any of those guys in any order.
