1, even if Louis would always have the puncher's chance even Marciano was crying for him in the end of the fight. This was an attraction event instead of a fight
How much credit do you give Rocky Marciano for beating Joe Louis?

My lack of knowledge? OK, so which division was Floyd in 2005 and which division was Mosley? Thanks for the laugh .... all smoke and mirrors by Floyd.
In 2006, Shane had fought in July AT 154 and wanted to do it a few months later than when Floyd wanted the fight. Who was a bigger name, Shane or Baldomir? So why couldn't Floyd wait a month or two to get the fight on IF YOU SAY THAT HE REALLY WANTED SHANE?Thanks for the laugh .... all smoke and mirrors by Floyd.
Floyd said he wanted to retire. Who was a bigger name to retire with, Shane or Baldomir? So why couldn't Floyd wait a month or two to get the fight on IF YOU SAY THAT HE REALLY WANTED SHANE?Thanks for the laugh .... all smoke and mirrors by Floyd.
From late 2006 to 2010, Shane called out Floyd but Floyd instead fought 2 guys that were at 130 and 140 instead. Why Marquez and not Shane? lol... Thanks for the laugh .... all smoke and mirrors by Floyd.
From late 2006 to 2010, there are plenty of videos stating that Floyd was NOT interested in Shane once Shane wanted Floyd. Thanks for the laugh .... all smoke and mirrors by Floyd.
Floyd fought Mosley only when Floyd admitted that
"Shane is now old and we will take that into consideration for our game plan"
.
Floyd still fought Shane while your hero maintained they wouldn't fight him at 147 lbs, only 143 for whatever reason, but yet they turned around in 2011 when Shane was coming off 2 should have been losses in a row, and then fought him.
You keypad warriors are ridiculous. You seriously have nothing better to do or talk about with this sport......literally 99% of your posts are b*tching and moaning about Mayweather. Nevermind the guy you like has fought 3 legit fights (really two because Bradley was a rematch) since 2009. Yet I don't hear b*tching about Pacquiao's pathetic fights he's been taking since then.
Margarito in 2010, Mosley in 2011, Pac-JMM 3 in 2011, Rios in 2013......I don't hear complaining about that. Keep it 100 at least man. If Pacquiao had fought Mosley in 2010, Ortiz in 2011, Guerrero and Canelo last year, Maidana this year, those would all be at least solid wins for him too.Comment

Louis was 37 when he fought Marciano, only one year younger than Ali when he fought Holmes.
Louis, not unlike Ali himself, was only fighting for money at the end of his carrer.
He did in fact retire after Marciano,in spite of persisting money problems. Obviously he didn't have much left in his tank.
With that said, Louis was still in better condition than Ali, who had already started to show signs of parkinson.
Also, before the Marciano fight Louis defeated Jimmy Bivins , a good contender at LHW and HW ( and hall of famer ).
Thus, Marciano deserves some credit for beating Louis, but not more than 5 or 6 on a scale of 10 imo.Comment

Floyd was a Welterweight in 2006 man....and that was the year Shane completely avoided the subject of fighting him, even though Shane was fighting at Welterweight at that time. It's Shane and oscars fault that fight didn't happen in 2006-2007. I'm sure Oscar was telling Shane that he would get the first crack at Mayweather. Shane never really voiced major interest in the fight until 2009 when Floyd came back, and what do ya know.....the fight happened. Hmmmmm. After his July fight he moved down to fight Collazo in his next fight in February. Shane couldn't fight in November because of a tooth ache or whatever.

There are interviews BEFORE 2009 where Mosley was calling out Floyd and there are interviews of Floyd saying NO to a Mosley fight. Even then, why fight Marquez when there was Mosley ready and willing to fight Floyd in 2009?
Manny fought the guy who beat Mosley and is a TR fighter and brought in the big money. That is what I call a trifecta. No way Mosley was going to get the fight before Cotto and you know it.
Buddy, I questioned Manny vs Mosley and Manny vs Marquez 3. I was also OK with those people that questioned Bradley 1 due to his relatively few fights at 147. All these 3 had legitimate question marks surrounding them. I stay consistent and real.
Again, when questioned about a game plan, Floyd actually said that he would take into account that Mosley is OLD now when formulating his game plan. Plus remember that he was inactive for 16 months! There are other interviews where Floyd brings up age (Mosley is nearly 40 lol) .... but to say that Mosley is "OLD now" ..... come on
It's as clear as daylight but I see that you are the one that is not 100% real.Comment

OK so you agree here.
I'm trying to figure out if you think he had more or less in the tank than Ali did who already lost to a 6-0 fighter a few fights before?
And now back to agreeing here? Are you confused to whether to agree or to disagree or were you just replying for the sake of the reply itself?
Age is not a factor, Ali's disease is.
The two fights are indeed similar (hence comparable), both champions were at the end of their carreers. Louis was a shell of his former self, but still better than the Ali who fought Holmes.
I hope it is clear enough.Comment
