Unfortunately it's something he won't get.

I like Danny Garcia, but one thing seems evident to me: his camp's strategy is to avoid rematches.

I don't take issue with Garcia's victory over Matthysse, but it was a close enough fight and there was enough drama to warrant a rematch. It would be more compelling than some of the rematches (and trilogies) we've seen in recent years. As for Mauricio Herrera, I thought he outworked Garcia and deserved a victory. But it doesn't appear that Garcia's camp feels any need to erase the widespread doubt that Garcia received a gift decision.

The "pretend I won convincingly and move on" strategy might be a good one for Garcia's bank account in the short term but I don't think it's going to help him in the long run. Like I said, I like Garcia, but unless he starts winning fights in a more convincing fashion, it's going to get harder for him to maintain credibility and fan support if he avoids legitimate rematches.

So Matthysse thinks beating John Molina should earn him a title shot? And nobody has a problem with that?

If someone like Khan or Broner said something like that, people would throw a hissy fit.

Listen Primo, nobody does that rematch **** anymore..He gave one to Morales because Morales gave him a shot. Matthysse didn't give Danny a shot so Danny don't owe Matthysse ****..

Yea because Danny is so great (sarcasm) matthysse probably beats him in the rematch. Specially after Herrera just whooped him.

Matthysse needs to get in line and earn his shot like everyone else, he's already had his shot. And at WW he's definitely behind Thurman, maybe he needs to fight Thurman at WW and the winner gets a WW title shot
