Comments Thread For: Moscow Weights: Jones Strips To 200, Lebedev is 198.6

Weights are set for the incoming huge rematch between reigning (despite officially suffering a loss) WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev (25-2, 19 KOs) and former titleholder Guillermo Jones (39-3-2, 31 KOs) of Panama. Team Jones, led by indomitable Don King, was late by about two hours and Jones was forced to take off his pants, and tipped the scales just narrowly at 200 lbs. Lebedev was a little lighter at 198.6.

Jones better hope for another stoppage because he isn't going to get the decision there.

You must be ****** or you clearly didn't watch the fight last time!

Lebedev was clearly landing at will on Jones and was out landing on him nearly every round it was the eye injury and the fact Dennis gassed which played on him losing this fight because all he had to do was survive two rounds and he would of deserved to retain his titles.

Jones just ate countless amount of punches and none of them phased him, he tested in after the fight and a banned substance was found in his system.
Jones needs a knock-out to win because he doesn't have the speed to match with him.

Diuretics most likely to mask whatever steroids he is wanting in his body, working with Don King no doubt he will be on the juice again.

            Lebedev is a -250 favorite

I'd like to know how the previous result wasnt turned to a NC with jones testing positive

Best bet being it sells the rematch more effectively than it being a NC.
He clearly tested positive for a diuretic and in the professional sport of boxing that is just absolutely not allowed because we know they can be used to mask steroids, perhaps drug fines need to be more harsher...

Chavez Jr got a hefty fine and all he done was weed yet it seems the people seriously breaking the rules get off lightly.

that's not a fact. if lebedev got up from the knockdown 2 of the judges would have had it a draw going into the 12th round. depending on what happened in the final round, it easily could have come out 114-113 x 2 jones, and 114-113 lebedev.

GUILLERMO was able to take tremendous shots from LEBEDEV,honestly i don't see how can LEBEDEV hurt JONES..perhaps with a hammer!!! With those long arms and chin i see another victory for JONES,damn LEBEDEV can punch and landed with some monster shots to the head of JONES but nothing......NOTHING!!! I can't wait!!!
