Since Tyson v MCNeeley sold what it did networks have come to realize names and not quality matchups sell ppvs. The same way a tom cruise or will smith movie ulmost always sells more than every movie nominated for best picture combined.

Take boxing off ppv and the focus goes back on the quality of the fight, not the popularity of the fighter.

Oh please....you people can't get enough of Mayweather. Most of the people on this forum dedicate the majority of their time talking about Mayweather, good or bad...because of how good he is and how well he markets himself. Broner talks more **** than Mayweather but there arent even a fraction of the amount of threads about him compared to Mayweather. You wouldnt dedicate this much time talking about him if he wasnt a great boxer and good for the sport.

You're so hung up on bashing him that u can't appreciate his skill level and the dedication that he puts into the craft. Hell definitely be missed.

I respect Floyd and have enjoyed Floyd but what props is he talking about? He's pretty much unanimously the #1 fighter of his generation on most people's list of active fighters. He's the highest paid and the biggest draw. I'm wondering what it is he feels he's missing? Seriously, what is he talking about? He expects 100% of fans to unanimously call him the greatest ever or something? That's not going to happen. It didn't for ali, it didn't for SRR, it didn't for joe louis, jack johnson, ray leonard. I'm really trying to understand what is this void he feels he needs to fill.

Notice that almost all boxing media/journalists said 2013 was the best year in boxing in a long time, almost 25 years?

Funny, floyd returned to fighting twice a year and manny only fought once, in November.

Maybe, just maybe, the boxing world will be better off when manny is gone.

its doing even better now look at this upcoming card, nobody else is putting togther cards like this, if so please show me! And whatever he does whether its a thread on a website, an interview, a fight both fans and haters will look/buy the fight so it gives traffic to the site and helps the sport. 80% of this sites most popular threads have his name attatched. Pac man because of his threat to floyd became a househld name and got the recognition he was due to casual fans/regular people. Whether good or bad floyd brings an attention to the sport of boxing that nobody is at this current moment. Controversey sales not nice guys.... Its created one of the most fueled and talked about fueds in the history of the sport... Even my aunt talks about floyd vs pac! He learned the game and played it and it has you commenting to a thread... It worked!!!!!! He will be missed when he leaves, hard work, dedication, discipline and it cant be denied!

Cut that out man..you are better than bro. Both these man made boxing interesting the last 7 years. They'll both be missed when gone. Don't feed into the trolls cuz. What will both fan bases have to talk about when both are gone? The good ole times.
