You act like it's the networks picking the fights, as if the fighters have absolutely NO say. Guerrero was offered a fight with Thurman and turned that down. Tim Bradley once upon a time had a legit offer to fight Robert Guerrero, and turned it down at the last minute. Khan turned down Alexander at the last minute thinking he would land the Mayweather fight.

Canelo vs. Mayweather got made. Garcia vs. Matthysse got made. Maidana vs. Broner done. Garcia vs. Herrera was surprisingly a good one. Canelo vs. Lara is next this summer and could potentially be fight of the year. What else do you want?

Yeah and what happened after that? Mosley couldn't follow through and got schooled for the remainder of the fight. That moment means nothing if there was no follow through.

        • He will be missed, I don't think he should be the one saying that he'll be missed, especially when the PAC fight didn't go down. But he will be missed nevertheless. When I think about the get togethers we recently started having at our home, one of the events is the Super Bowl and the other two are the Mayweather fights. All three are events as I have to send out flyers, pay for a bartender, etc., because I usually have 40 - 70 people over. Most are in the basement (Mancave) with the surround sound, 65in flat screen, 14 foot bar and 32in flat screen behind the bar, with all the sports memorabilia. The overflow, if any, are in the open dining/kitchen/family room with a 52 in flat screen.

I say all of this to say that I invited a few people (not as many for the Floyd fight or Super Bowl) to watch the PAC fight and only my dad showed up. Mayweather fights and the Super Bowl brings people even if they don't watch boxing or football. I even had people ask if that dude that fight like Mayweather is going to fight that night. So even though Broner is not a great fighter to me and all the boxing purists, he's an entertainer and people watch and pay their money to be entertained.

Lol. Very few fights got made considering the hype associated with the PPV queen. You can actually count with your five fingers the number of meaningful fights that got made since the hype. Lol.

Why would Guerrero fight Thurman without being compensated properly? Tell me. GBP can only afford undercard money. Matthysse, Guerrero, Berto, Khan and many others are now fighting once a year. They're supposed to make truckloads from these Mayweather fights. Where's the money?... And why did Garcia fight Herrera? Why not Broner or Peterson, or Khan? Why, because they're either on this protective mode again or have no money to fund such fights.

              This ^^^^

People make 100 posts per day on a guy and they say he would not be missed.

Were not at 15 pages to say he would not be

Of course he's not going to get great compensation fighting Thurman. And that's because Thurman is not some popular fighter like Bradley, Pacquaio, Canelo, etc. A network isn't going to pay millions for that fight.

We are only in April, and you are complaining that Matthysse hasn't fought more. He has a fight with Molina and then I guarantee you he'll be fighting again this year. Same with Garcia. Berto lost consecutive fights, you think he's going to just jump back in the ring again? Khan pulled out of a December fight, and is fighting in May.

So again, what's the problem here?

                  • say what you want about floyd but boxing is dry, bland and boring without him. all those 24/7 shows and ''all access'' shows completely suck without him. pacquiao is a boring personality "uhhhhh. ..bob arum...uhhhh..good fight" ..andre ward is great but hes boring, floyd IS boxing.

name another fighter in boxing history that has dominated ALL his opponents. people hate floyd for two things 1. he's black 2. he's too good. if floyd was white he would be bigger than ali ever was.

                    pacquiao can't even beat canelo.

                    • Himself won't be missed, but his talent will be. The last most skilled ATG I'll probably see in my lifetime.
