I will miss his skillset and abilities and his in the ring persona. But he did not endear himself to as many people as he could have and he did that to himself by choosing the role of the bad guy from the Oscar fight to now and it didn't help that he compounded this by insulting other greats like Leonard, Holmes, and saying he was better than any fighter who ever lived, and racist rants and involvement with thugs and abusive behavior towards women and prima donna attitude. No one is going to miss that unless they are sick in the head or ***ed up with bias.

I think its a defensive mechanism. Many people tune in to just watch him lose. It hurts that he is retiring and people are looking forward to it. His personality aside his fights are boring.

I love Floyd and I love the sport but the sport will move on without missing a beat the day he leaves, just like when every other dominant fighter left, the sport will move on and there will be new cash cows, he will be remembered and not forgotten, and very soon go abused on NSB like DLH gets, but there will be no moment of silence from my end, I consider myself one of his biggest fans.
