Tru that .... It kinda gives some credit to the rumors about Richard & Al Haymon teaming up.

Those rumors would violate the Muhammad Ali act, Haymon is an advisor, it would be illegal for him to conduct promotional activities.

I hear what your saying. But it doesn't make sense for Richard to make that stance when the owner is saying other. It's like telling your boss "screw that" I'm doing it my way. Something not right here. I think richard says f the extension and goes his own route. The article posted in the la times leaves more questions then answers

I agree but Richard is smart. Maybe just maybe he's using leverage golden boy is ****ed without him. So he's not going anywhere their business model works even if him and Oscar hate each other. Richard knows the inner workings. He's the only one that's privy to all the info in these negotiations. He knows both Manny and Floyd need the fight and want the fight not for legacy but for money. Floyd wont do business with tr but he'll deal with golden boy. You steal Manny from arum make the fight happen you get two slice of the pie from the biggest fight ever. All you have to do is stand your ground. On top of all his inside knowledge it's a slam dunk for him. You have to see three steps ahead.

Richard ain't scared. He already has a back up plan with Haymon. They will refuse to fight with GBP and TopRank. It will all be in house. Why do you think they're amassing such a huge number of boxers?

What ppl don't get rich is a co-founder of GoldenBoy it's Oscar company if you wanna call it that but without Richard it goes to s#*t. Not to mention he pulls out the capital he's owed from being vested. So it means more to oscar than to Richard to stay.

Oscar would still have the promotional contracts if Schaefer left. But then again, Haymon be poaching Golden Boy fighters as of late. And Richard sure does love that Floyd puppeteer in a way.
