  • Why did Mayweather accept an 18 day cutoff date for Mosley?

The Mayweather vs Mosley lead-up bout ended testing 18 days prior to the fight all while Mosley admitted to using steroids in the past.
However, Mayweather denied Pacquiao of a 14-day cutoff date during negotiations for a future bout.
Why did Mayweather accept an 18 day cutoff date for Mosley but not 14 days for Pacquiao?

This is completely false and could not be farther from the truth.

Team Mayweather offered Pac a 14 day cut off, they did not accept. Arum says no such thing ever happened(14 day cut off being offered). Next day, right here on BS, it was revealed by the mediator of the negotiations, a retired judge agreed upon by both sides, said that was not true, then Arum said that Team Mayweather did indeed offered 14 day cut off.

he didn't. Its called "random" testing. They could have tested whenever they wanted. Its not hard to understand but ppl seem to be a little slow.

I thought some posters said 14 days was enough time for the drugs to out of the boxers system.

Not only is Kev right... but I would add there was no agreed upon cut off date for Mosley and both men could have been tested whenever.

What? Mosley was not tested 18 days leading up to the fight.
