Comments Thread For: Devon Alexander-Soto Karass in Play For June 21

BoxingScene.com has been advised by multiple sources that a welterweight crossroads battle between three time champion Devon Alexander and rugged contender Jesus Soto Karass is in the works for June 21st at the StubHub Center in Carson, Calif.

Both fighters are coming off losses this past December. Alexander lost his IBF welterweight title to Shawn Porter at the Barclays Center while Soto Karass was stopped by Keith Thurman a week later in San Antonio.

Soto Karass stands a great chance if he smothers Alexander

I'm kind of thinking the opposite. I think Alexander might look pretty good in that one.

IMO, Alexander doesn't have an inside game and if you're in his face all night smothering him like Bradley/Porter, he can't do anything.

I'd rather watch reruns on NGChannel.

            Logical fight.

            Alexander should win comfortably.

Yeah, but Bradley/Porter are quite a bit more skilled/awkward to deal with than Soto Karass imo. He's pretty straight forward.

He's also very slow unlike those two.

It's the speed and in and out movement that troubled Devon.

I don't see Karass giving him any problems, should just box him all night.
