Arum was right though in this case. Top Rank was a client and MGM didn't service its client to its best abilities. They were promoting the client's rival in the resort.Doesn't make sense really. They could have easily promoted it after the PAC-Bradley fight.

TOP Rank will just easily find another casino, no problem. MGM is the loser in this case.

I'm not about taxes at MSG in New York. But that would be nice to hold events there. Not sure about Atlantic City.

Arum is looking to hold more events at The Forum in LA (inglewood). I read somewhere he's looking at 6-9 shows a year at the new Forum.

Doesn't that hurt the MGM more that's revenue they aint getting and good.

I'm tired of all the events they hold in Vegas , would like to see more shows held in real cities to cater to regular fan bases not in a side casino in front of degenerate gamblers.

No, Arum is completely wrong. Top Rank booked the venue after Floyd's fight had already been reserved. MGM Grand is not going to cease promotion of Floyd's card because of Manny. It's not their job to get involved with these rivalries; it's their job to promote all of their upcoming events.

Promoters used to respect one-another's dates, and not book the same venues or cities close to one another when it came to massive fights. Then Arum put an end to that by putting Chavez-Martinez in the same city on the same day as the already-scheduled Canelo-Lopez and stole a ton of their shine.

Arum is mad because his plan backfired this time; instead of taking shine off of Floyds bout, he ended up giving free Floyd promotion to everyone that entered the MGM on fight night to see Pac, and is sore as hell about it.

He thought he could bully MGM Grand into not promoting Floyd until a few weeks before his fight using Pacquiao's name, and is furious that Pacquiao's name didn't bring the leverage he expected.

According to what I've read, the MGM wanted it at the MGM...Top Rank wanted it at Mandalay Bay.
