I really don't recognize Stevenson as lineal. Pretty hard to hold any stock into a "Championship" that included an opponent who got decimated the fight before, regardless of weight drain. The LHW title is scattered/politicized and worthless until they're all unified, then the real Champ rises out of the mess. Until then, there is no champ.

I believe if there will be a man who will bring these belts to Krusher, that will be Stevenson. With all the respect to Ex-er | Alien.

In the case of the light heavyweight division, there are two names to discuss in terms of who is the best. And those two names do not include Hopkins. It's either Stevenson or Kovalev. If Hopkins wants to call himself the best in a division, he should see to it that he's taken on the bet in the division. The titles he currently has are out of circumstance unfortunately. Not to discredit Hopkins, because what he did was tremendous. But Shumenov is not Stevenson and it's not Kovalev. Either of those two will walk him down and right through his offense.
That's your view point and you openly said you only watch HBO. I pay for it all and watch all fights even from overseas. So for me and alot of fans alike it's really starting to look like Showtime is going to take over. Their shows are way more exciting all around. I don't just mean the fights themselves but the feeling of fighters actually fighting for a legitimacy, the broadcast, etc. All in all Showtime is doing what I've always wanted to see done with boxing.

It doesn't matter if you "don't really" recognize him lineal or not because it's factual that he IS the lineal champ at 175.

I loved Richard Schaffers closing comment.
He [Kovalev] can cross the street.

Haha, they know that if Hopkins is able to beat Stevenson, that a demand for Kovalev vs Hopkins will be in. He's already putting the pressure on Kovalev to leave HBO and come to Showtime. Dirty tactics, but hey, it got me to cancel my HBO and subscribe to Showtime. At the moment they seem to have the better fighters, and the potential for bigger fights.
If Haymon steals Chavez Jr. from Top Rank, you can throw him in the mix of guys at 175, or catch weight from 168.

So he complains and calls for an end to the network cold war as its stopping the best fights.

Then says I'm loyal to Schaefer, Showtime, and won't fight a champion rival unless they join Schaefer and Showtime.
