Nah he doesnt , Hopkins truly believes he can beat Kovalev. He has said Stevenson would be tougher fight because he is more athletic and i think he truly believes that.

      Kovalev who????

Who the hell has Kovalev fought???? Him and GGG have this big cloud of hype that brings in tv ratings and "fans" (flip flops) but who the hell have they fought???? From what I hear Kovalev and GGG are the leading candidates to win the 2014 Matthysse Award

Kind of hard for Kovalev to get "exposed" if no one is willing to fight him.

          Bad business

Boxing has become a structured belief system like religion and politics. GBP/TP Showtime/HBO May/Pac. Read my comment before you start talking about my ancestors. Mayweather is the most successful boxer ever(economically) GBP/Al Haymon power comes from Floyd and the money he brings to the table. Pac/May are in their last years in boxing, Who is taking over? That's why Al Haymon is staking his deck his a smart business person. Espinoza is a GBP Tool. The problem with Al Haymon is that he overpay boxers. It is great for the boxers, but it is bad for business. GBP/Showtime make profits with Mayweather, but they loose money with the other boxing events. HBO/Showtime are subscription channels. It is not about ratings is about new subscriptions. Outside of PPV they don't make money with boxing. GBP overplayed their hand when they did the canelo/Lopez the same date that Chavez/Martinez and as their cutthroat negotiating they took May to Showtime. May got an unprecedented contract so he won, but we boxing fans lost. So you are telling me this is the most expensive boxing card ever, that Mayweather fights are the Super Bowl of boxing, but at the same time there is no 25 city press tour, you are piggybanking events with canelo vs angulo and with your rival Pac vs Bradley. One more point this is boxing's most expensive card ever, even more than May/canelo, Are you telling me this will be boxing's most successful event ever? This is bad business. A boxer pay should be relative to the money they bring, not who he shares advisors with. Who remember Berto fighting TBD in empty venues for seven figures. The last Al Haymon fighter in an HBO event was Edwing Rodriguez who got 1000000. Good for him, but who thinks Edwin Roriguez is worth 1mill, Even Andre Ward is no that big of a draw. A couple weeks ago Duva said that HBO have built the last PPV atrations. This is true. She said PPV attraction not boxing stars. If you worship money and celebrities good for you but this is a bad precedent. Stevenson > Edwing Rodriguez. Stevenson knows that Rodriguez got 1 mill, He won't fight for less, we are not talking about a PPV how much money Stevenson brings how many new subscribers how many Rodriguez as a b side brings. GBP is in economic problems, even cotto vs Martinez went to Argentina, NYC, LA and PR. Floyd is good he got a contract, but some one is taking losses with this PPV. This is May vs Guerrero with an expensive undercard.Broner's fans are Mayweather's fans he is not bringing anything to the table. Someone dropped the ball. Al and May a smart the always fight in an Mexican Holliday with a Mexican. And the usually throw a puertorican in the undercard, this is about marketing. What happened with Guerrero? When Canelo said I fight in your undercard if you agree to fight me in September everyone shat on him, what happened next, Canelo headed his own card in San Antonio, Showtime lost money in May vs Guerrero and Canelo got his payday/boxing lesson in September. When Floyd was in HBO Showtime was the other network even Broner called himself mr Showtime now that, May is in Showtime, HBO sucks. Boxing has become a structured belief system.

Stopped reading after "Mayweather is the most successful boxer".

                Oscar laughs at that.

bernard should've really just kept his mouth shut. boxing fans are aware already of the promotion and network wars so they know it's a hard fight to make. all these 'loyal' stuff he's spewing just makes him look like a duck.

Hopkins is a ducker, scared of Kovalev

It's not about WBO belt, it's about Kovalev itself and Bernard knows , the white guy poses a huge threat. So yeah, what he needs Kovalev for?

It always has to be on GBP's terms...so much for negotiating to meet in the middle of the street. Complain about Arum all you want folks let's just remember to drag GBP through the same "STANDARDS" you claim Arum violates.
