From what I read, Chavez Jr. isn't signing the contract to fight GGG, because as a precursor for the fight to get signed, Chavez must also sign an extension with Top Rank.
Chavez said, he's willing to do the fight, and has agreed to the terms for the fight, but he's not willing to sign a contract extension.

The money issue has nothing to do with the GGG fight, it has to do with the extension they're offering him.

Chavez made 2.5 for the first fight, and forgot how much he made for the 2nd fight, but I assume it was similar.

The opponent has nothing to do with it.
The fact is he's getting paid that much because he generates that much.

He's not a fighter you would say Top Rank loses money or has ever lost money on. He's consistently getting top ratings and is worth that much money.

It isn't me the one who doesn't know the current situation with Jr. -- it's another one above...

... But, eventually, how much Chavez wants to be paid? Because he gets as much as Ward gets for fighting the same blokes...
... Chavez may also go in the UK in order to fight for a huge purse, in the near future...

... In short: I suspect that Jr. rather doesn't want Golovkin...

So if someone says you have to sign this extension or else you won't get the fight...that makes you think the person who has to sign is ducking?

                      Don't twist the terms...
Jr. never asked for the GGG fight -- TR ordered him this fight! It's more accurate...
