i might be wrong on those numbers my bad, not a chavezjr fan, but still more than 350k and didnt even made half of what canelo did...obviously gbp pays better to his main attractions...

Well how much did Jnr make total? His base was already more than Canelo at 3 million and his PPV sold more

yah but i expect him to lose bad against ggg...and that loss will definitely put a dent in his popularity...and like i said before his chances against ward are very slim and froch probably stops him too......chavez jr star is on the verge of fizzling out.....which is why top rank/hbo are feeding him to ggg..transfer whatever star power chavez has left to ggg ...make ggg into a big star and try and set up a big ggg vs ward fight.

and chavez jr still struggled against vera the first fight and that fight was well above 160.....jr is unpredictable...u can invest all this money and time in keeping him but who knows whether he'll miss weight again or fail a test again or look mediocre against another journeyman........

and lets not forget the most important part, the investors who backed the fight to begin with. they'll be expecting a return, which lately they haven't been seeing much of.

I don't exactly know if it's different for PPV's but I asked both Kieran Mulvaney and Dan Rafael of ESPN, both whom I consider better journalist than Steve Kim, and they both said, Showtime isn't losing any money. And that if in the future they were to go into the negative it didn't matter because CBS was giving them full backing.

If CBS is willing to cut them a check, I'm sure the sponsors and advertisers are being compensated for their work.

As far as we know about the Golden Boy rift it's all rumors. Rumors of FBI agents looking into the company and many other rumors.

where do you think the other 11.25 mil goes?? thats what the promoter uses to pay the network investing on the fight... 11.25 is what the promoter-fighters will get, and the other 11.25 goes to the network investing on the fight, its a 50-50 deal and then, from those 11.25 it was an 80-20 canelo-gbp split.. arum will not give an 80-20 split under any circunstances..
