I believe he's extremely close to Top 10 P4P, but if he beats Adonis Stevenson then he better be in the P4P rankings or people truly just don't like B-Hop inside the business.

Should Hopkins be top 10 p4p now?

Absolutely Not!!!!
Side Note: I don't want to seem dismissive of self-taught individuals, because I am not. Every self-taught craftsman has benefited greatly from mentors and or trainers at some point in their career. You would be hard pressed to find a professional in any profession, that was self-taught throughout their whole career.

He's the greatest active imo. But honestly he's probably too old to beat a top pfp fighter. However I still think that if he and Pacman, Marquez, Bradley and Floyd could all compete in the same weight class he'd beat them all.

He's top 10 to me. Cloud, Murat, Shumenov. 3 top 10 LHW's in a row. GGG is in ESPN's top 10 for beating similar competition.
He fought twice in 2013, and is on pace for two fights in 2014, all against top 10 fighters. His next fight is against the consensus #1 fighter at 175. He's 49 and hasn't fought a non-top 10 fighter since 2010. That is 4 years of fighting top 10 LHW's. In the same span, he will have fought for The Ring title 5 times (Pascal 2x, Dawson 2x, Stevenson).
Lots of unwarranted hate for a fighter who has fought nothing but top fighters for 4 years straight. Before fighting Ornelas and Jones, two gimme fights, he fought Taylor 2x, Winky, Tarver, Calzaghe Pavlik, consecutively, arguably winning all 6 fights, but officially still going an impressive 3-3(Because of the level of opposition, going 3-3 is impressive), his only losses being all SD's and one UD.

Hopkins recent record doesn't read too good. The only top 10 fighter he fought beat him back in 08. He's also lost since then.Last edited by Robbie Barrett; 04-20-2014, 08:01 PM.
