Well said. I would call myself a fan of this kid because of his potential for badassness and his reserved demeanor.

But he has yet to show us much.

Hopefully this fight will get made and it will be the beginning of an upward trend in level of competition.

Lomachenko gained more experience from that 1 fight against salido than the 20 fights Jr has fighting against bums. Jr maybe more talented but Lomachenko has shown championship qualities already against salido, Jr hasnt.

I just don't like the opponents Russel has faced. I was that put off by the lack of information on his foes I stopped following him. Loma however I admire as he's young and ballsy, he's going all put and fighting the best so early in his career where people pick carefully he's going out with the IDGAF attitude which needs to be respected.

Well you need to start paying attention the skill level in these weight classes are some of the best in boxing. The featherweight/bantamweight divisions have some excellent names like Russell and Rigondeaux.

Ok, put it this way - which fighters in history have succeeded or even attempted to fight a veteran world champ in their first fights as a pro? None or almost none, because it's almost impossible unless you are an upcoming GOAT, and even then. Loma probably overrated himself, and people on this site who thought he would blast Salido out, were naive (me included).

If Loma fought 20 bums and built a record, he would probably be seen as even more overated? And I am almost certain if GRJ fought a middleweight, fouling Salido in his 2nd pro fight, he would likely be KO'd. I think even Rigo would lose that early in his career. People are disappointed with Loma as he was pushed down many people's throats as being this beast. To be fair, he did get close, but his lack of experience and Plan B (or definite Plan A) cost him in that fight.

However, I believe Vasyl has had a great learning experience and won't make the same mistakes. I'm confident that he will beat GRJ. As to this poll selection, I can't choose any of those - but if this fight happens, we will all know.

His loss confirms that he was overrated by many including yourself, 20 wins over less than stellar opposition wasn't meant to tell propel you are the GOÀT, just that you are a prospect honing their skills. He a scrub for losing ad believe his own hype that is not a good quality as it shows he will be prone to mistakes.

Loma's loss isn't even legitimate. He was cheated on the scales by over 2 pounds.
