But Martinez on his last leg and they'll really push Martinez/Golovkin....if not this year, next year.

I don't know how their budget is and there are too many damn PPV's this year
Belt or not I don't find Golovkin-Soliman a worthwhile fight, I think Golovkin is wasting his time waiting around on Martinez and these are valuable years this chase is costing him.

Isn't Golovkin under contract with HBO? How could GBP really do anything with Golovkin unless HBO is willing to deal with them, so it would be up to K2 to convince HBO that Quillin is who they want which would be a difficult task but they could try.

Only worth it if he has a belt

Also it's now or never. Martinez in the tail end of his career and has one more fight with HBO. If they can't force it, then oh well. If there's no indication by this year, he should start training to move up in weight because he ain't fighting Quillin any time soon.

Even if Haymon/GBP realize how worthless he is, he's useless w/o a belt

Soliman either way is worthless to me, I didn't think he was that good 10 years ago and I don't think he has gotten better with age.

The middle part I more or less agree with.

I don't think sacrificing Quillin to open that HBO door back up is a worthless move by GBP/Haymon. Plus a former champ that is beatable with no defense is not worthless, he just becomes a stepping stone.

If that somehow opened the door, that'd be cool. I think the door will creak open when Haymon/GBP sign all these fighters and they don't get the big paydays they were promised and then there's a need for another network to pick them up.

If Soliman wins, they should push for that.... really push because he's not due for a mando right off the bat like Barker was.

As for that... not surprised that HBO put Cotto over Martinez. What they need to do is push Martinez/Golovkin afterwards because if Martinez loses to Cotto....well... I don't even know
You bet that they'll push for Golovkin/Martinez for Martinez's last fight. Golovkin will let Martinez earn a large majority of it too

Kid thinks he was booed because he didn't knock out Konecny....okay.
Half right... when a suck ass can't at least KO a bum, he's useless

It wasn't Quillin's lack of KO that bothered me, he was just hit with a lot punches, especially hooks, that if they were being thrown by a strong middleweight instead of a weak jr. middleweight, he would have taken a seat on the canvas.

That's just Konecny's style.... he's going to land, but he's going to be taking a lot of punches while he's at it.
