Comments Thread For: Maidana's Purse For Mayweather Fight in Legal Mess

Judge Claudio Bermudez from the Civil and Commercial district court of the fourth nomination in Santa Fe, has ordered a garnishment of Marcos Maidana's purse for the upcoming fight with Floyd Mayweather Jr. on May 3rd from the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. The judge issued the order in connection to claim that was filed by Maidana's old Santa Fe trainer Guillermo Serra.

Serra served as a coach for Maidana for only a year and a half, from mid-2004 until December 2006. Yet Serra now reappears and claims he has a managerial contract from 2008 to 2016.

Mayweather plotted this all along. (Im not a Pac fan)

On a serious note, it sounds like hogwash, kinda like the Guerrero gun charge thing except even less. Will have no impact on the fight. Maidana seems to have an intelligent team behind him.

That's a damn shame, and no good for Maidana. Hopefully his advisor/team can sort it out and have it not effect him mentally.

This guy wants a piece of the pie now that Maidana is facing the likes Mayweather/Broner.. $ talks

The leeches come out from under their rock just when Chino is preparing for the biggest fight of his career.

Since Maidana hasn't heard from or seen this guy from 2006, can't he sue him back for not providing the managerial services he was supposed to?
