Marquez was highly inaccurate in that fight, the worst of his fights with Pac, his accuracy percentage was the lowest ever, yet every time he was able to catch Pac, he did hurt him. Anyone who SAW THE FIGHT could easily tell that the one with THE POWER for a knockout that night was Marquez, not Pac.

So the "chances" rant from yours is highly infantile. If Marquez does get the chance again in a 5th fight, he will get the job done again, unless Pac runs and runs and avoids confrontation like cowardly Bradley did (curiously, Bradley was brave enough to trade with Pacman twice and even with Provo, but he ran scared of Marquez all night, jabbing his way to a split decision, go figure out why).
The first and first-time Juan knocked Pac down Pac was actually standing still with his gloves covering his face and the overhand right landed right on Manny's forehead with hella force, that's where KD 1 was.. I don't know why ppl keep on saying it's the same punch that knocked him out it wasnt!!! The punch that knocked Pac out was when Manny did his little hoppy-thing forward and his face went right into Juan's right fist as it was coming over his right shoulder, probably not with a whole hell of a lot of power, but just enough combined with manny's momentum to do the job. I seen the vid of JMM knocking down his sparring partner and it looks nothing like the knock-out punch. There's a difference when speaking about lucky punches as putting a blindfold on swinging wildly and getting lucky in the way that a chain of events unfolds whereby a fighter gets knocked out by his own doing mixed with sheer desperation ala pac going for the kill and jmm just trying to survive.

I have no problem with the punch that KO'd Pac because just about any other fighter in that spot gets KTFO. People act as if somehow Pac has this chin that gets cracked all the time. His previous "knockdowns" in the past 10 years were both bogus: Mosley & Barrera I.

The punch that had me concerned was the first knockdown which any boxer should have seen coming. He even had his guard up so he knew it was coming, it just knocked him off his ass.

And that KO punch, JMM knew when to throw it as Manny was doing his usual feint then go in. After so many rounds, Juan knew what to expect. If they fight again, Manny is going to have to mix things up.

I'm very aware Pac has a draw and two victories vs Marquez. You're a smart guy. My point is you know they weren't clear victories. I always root for Pac whenever he fights Marquez. But I can't say pac beat Marquez. Those fights could have gone either way. Sorry
