Well Maidana has already lost. I was talking to my friend about this the other day.
Before guys fight Floyd or even Pac, they say things like:

He's just a man
Any man can be beat
He's not from another world
Supermen only exist in the movies

Wrong mentality IMO.

Maidana's style and power make him more of a threat than Canelo and Guerrero. Should be a pretty entertaining fight. Seemingly loaded undercard, also. Should be worth the moneys

Marcos “Chino” Maidana is starting to peak in camp as there are only 2 weeks left before his big fight with Floyd “Money” Mayweather on May 3rd in Las Vegas. Maidana sparred 12 hard rounds Wednesday afternoon as he rotated 3 sparring partners and looks to be hitting his stride and gearing up for a strong finish.

Maidana will need to deal with Mayweather’s hard to crack defense in order to land his big power shots. Most feel he may have been well prepared to deal with Floyd based on his last fight with Adrien Broner who uses a similar style as Mayweather.

The best thing about Maidana....

.....and what gives him a shot is his lack of awe for FMJ. Most fighters go in there and try to out box him. Disrespect him. I think he can be outhustled and abused physically. Manny could certainly do it, and out box him as well. Chino just needs to keep FMJ out of establishing a rhythm. He easily did it to Boner. He will have to work 3 minutes a round for Froids.

I don't see how a Maidana who lost 12 zip to Alexander can trouble Floyd (I realize Maidana-Alexander was 10 rounds but it was such a one-sided fight that it might as well have been 12 zip.)

You really think Maidana is more of a threat than Canelo? What style are you referring to you...the style that Maidana had when he lost 10 zip to Alexander?

Only way Maidana can win is if he fights like he did against Broner rounds 1 and 2 the entire 12 rounds...only guys like on that Pacquiao level can do that.

I kind of laugh when I see the Floyd worshipers on this site trying to act like Floyd is taking a tough challenge in facing Maidana...same people who would say that Pac was fighting a tailor-made come forward fighter if Pac were fighting Maidana.
