That dude does nothing for boxing,,, he is about as knowledgable of the sport as a casual fan.. The only reason he even gets stories and breaking news is because he works for the biggest sports network.. Before that he wrote for newspapers and only covered boxing because they didn't have anyone to cover a local fight card, so he got sent and has been stuck in boxing ever since.. Literally first fight he saw, was the first one he was sent to cover,,,

I like max kellerman and some others that actually grew up as fans and have knowledge of the sport...

I think the Haymon "chatter" is all based off this yahoo blog article from today, which claims Haymon is offering 47 million to get Chavez. I don't believe it because I've seen that author before and he never offers anything original. Dude just writes a bunch of blog entries based on info from other sites, and now suddenly he has this exclusive scoop without even mentioning a source?

That's how the internet journalism rolls. These writers make **** up all the time, and then try to pawn it off as a secret fact. And all the gullible goes on and believes the gossip. Gossip today is received like it's fact more than 50% of the time now.

Chatter continues to intensify that Julio Cesar Chavez Jr. is in talks with Al Haymon. If he signs Chavez, there goes proposed GGG fight.

The one thing I don't get is how this would work with zanfer promoting chavez. They got a big deal with TV Azteca in mexico, how would Haymon deal with that.

Could also be posturing from JCC Jr., to get a better deal. What better way to get Arum's attention then bring in the possibility of Haymon gripping up another of his big name guys.
