How do boxing fans see Manny now

He's definitely declining, but he just beat a young undefeated champ who is in the prime of his career. In fact, his last two opponents where both in the prime of their career with a combined record of 62-1.
Their are still a lot of young champions out there that Manny would beat. So declining; yes. Shot; by no means!
I think the real impact of his decline will come against Mayweather though, 5 years ago Manny was so dynamic and explosive, a fight with Floyd would have been 50/50, imo. Now, Manny wins 3 or 4 rounds tops.Comment

Age, his style of fighting, size/quality of opponents, amount of time in the ring, and Marquez's KO are all contributing factors. Dude is 35, been in wars, moved up in weight and past lifestyle (last part is speculation).
I know people will point to Floyd being older than Pac but he's had more time away from the ring, taken less damage and hey, maybe Mother Nature and Father Time have been more gentle on him. I only know what I see/read but I don't think Floyd partied the way Manny did and that takes it's toll on the body.
I see Manny as say, 70% of what he was at his peak. His 70% is still better than most other fighters, as we saw on Saturday. He's just not what he was years ago. No shame in that, everyone gets older.Comment

The standards for Pac are so high that people just expect him to ko everyone.
Just look at all Pacs peers, they aint knocking anyone out as well. And they especially aint knocking people out if they fought the guys Pac fought.Comment

Pacquiao is fighting above his real weight class
He KO's everyone at 140 pretty easily
And even tho Pac had Bradley hurt numerous times, if Ruslan couldn't KO Bradley, no one canComment

Age and mentality of opponents have changed Pacquaio. As you know I come fr a big boxing family. We love boxing, ppv Saturday has always been a pastime in my family. Being from a black family we support a large contingent of black fighters and a few Latinos. Saturday night I was watching the fight with my mom. She asked isn't that Manny pacquaio fighting? I replied yes. She went on to say he don't look as fast or hit as hard as he use to. She did went on to say maybe it's true. Fighters lose it after getting knocked out referring to the Marquez fight. I pressed her for more details granted she's 51 a casual boxing fan who order marquee name ppv's. She told me that guy was knocking out every one a few years ago. Now he can't knock out anyone. If my mom can notice Manny having trouble getting the finish. I know you all have noticed too. Manny hasn't had a Ko honestly in a long time. His punch output has went down barely and in boxing power is the last to go. I don't get it. Is Manny now shot?
He has slowed down a bit, his power depends on his speed that's how he gains leverage. The mentality of his opponents have changed, if you look back all the guys he stopped had the mentality that he was a small guy and they were just going to walk through him. Now, people know that element of surprise is gone so his opponents tend to be a bit more cautious, add the KO from Marquez and you get a fighter that's not the same as before.
Come on, the guy has been fighting for almost 20 years and with his style he should be done by now. He has adapted, if you listen to Nacho he said the same thing way back before Marquez 3.Comment
